  • Mary Todd Lincoln First Spouse Coins will contain one-half ounce of .9999 fine gold.
  • Coins will be minted in proof and uncirculated versions, produced at the West Point Mint.
  • Estimated release date is December 2010.

History:

  • The First Spouse Gold Coin series was authorized by Public Law 109-145 The Presidential $1 Coin Act of 2005.
  • The initial four coins of the series were released in 2007. The following years four and five additional coins were released.
  • The designs for the 2010 First Spouse Coins were unveiled by the United States Mint on December 21, 2009.
