- Produced for circulation at the Philadelphia and Denver Mints. Collectible uncirculated versions (satin finish) also produced at Philadelphia and Denver. Collectible proof coins produced at the San Francisco Mint.
- Circulation release date is scheduled for November 18, 2010.
- The coins have a core of pure copper and outer layer composed of 77% copper, 12% zinc, 7% manganese, and 4% nickel.

- There will be 25-coin rolls offered by the United States Mint for collectors.

History:
- Authorized by S. 1047: Presidential $1 Coin Act of 2005, which became Public Law 109-145.
- The Presidential Dollar series began in 2007 and has continued each year with four different releases.
- The designs for the 2010 Presidential Dollars were released by the United States Mint on December 8, 2009.
